The Association offers a range of ways that you can participate and get involved in our activities. We operate a full customer participation and engagement policy which is available in our download section.

We regularly take part in joint estate walk-abouts with the local resident groups and East Renfrewshire Council and actively inspect our neighbourhoods to take ensure improvements are made across each community.

We also attend, where we can offer help, local resident groups and work with Dunterlie Tenants Action Group, Auchenback Active, Auchenback Tenants and Resident Association, Thornliebank Tenants and Resident group, and Neilston Development Trust to name but a few.

We also hold regular Tenant Scrutiny Panel meetings with our resident participation groups and will discuss in greater detail our performance across different areas, our planned investment programmes, our rent consultations, input into the Scottish Social Housing Charter, and our budget setting process. We would encourage any of our customers to take part in these discussions by getting in touch with our Director of Customer Services.

many of our residents attended our Open Day in St John’s church hall in September and were treated to some live music, dancing and a vintage tea. We also had our Impact Arts employability project offering facepainting and tattooing, showing off some of the products made at the project, and helping with the afternoon. A caricaturist provided some great images on the day too. We’ve already had requests for a repeat for next year. We had a great afternoon finishing off with the great Barrhead bake off with staff, Board members and local residents contributing to the cakes on offer. Congratulations to Julie Wallace then overall winner of a delicious chocolate cake. Thanks again to everyone who took part.
