• Property Factoring

    As a subsidiary of Barrhead Housing Association, factoring service duties are carried out by our subsidiary, Levern Property Services Limited (LPS). LPS employs a dedicated Property Factoring Advisor, Lisa Crossan, to provide owners with the full factoring service. Other staff involved include Barrhead HA's Property Manager, Janice Peters and Director of Asset Management, James Ward. All services are delivered from our main office at 60/70 Main Street, Barrhead. We also provide factoring services to commercial owners and voluntary organisations within Barrhead and Neilston.

  • Types of Property

    Levern Property Services factor many different types of buildings ranging from old tenements that are over 100 years old to newer builds.

  • Commercial Units

    Levern Property Services also factor many different commercial units ranging from shops and restaurants within the Barrhead area as well as Auchenback Resource Centre and Neilston Development Trust where Levern Property Services has streamlined the repairs processes within these buildings, ensuring the maintenance of these key buildings within the community is of a high standard.

Review of Factoring Service

As part of Barrhead Housing Associations review we have considered feedback provided by owners and tenants on the current services provided by LPS factoring. Our priority is to ensure that our future property management services are affordable, accessible, sustainable and supported with more resources.  We would like owners to help us shape the new service as part of the consultation process so that we are developing a service that is reflective of what our customers need.

Ideally, we would like owners to view this as a positive step and agree to the transfer of the property management services to Barrhead Housing Association via the individual forum meetings that will be held to vote on this proposal.

As of Thursday 19 March 2020, it has been decided to close our offices until further notice. This in light of Government guidance and to protect our staff and customers during the current conoravirus pandemic.

Levern  Property Services is a wholly owned subsidiary of Barrhead Housing Association. Set up in 2011, the subsidiary is a company limited by Share. It was set up to become a commercial trading organisation with all profits re-invest in Barrhead Housing Association. As a non-charitable subsidiary it’s main purpose is to further the aims and objectives of Barrhead Housing Association in the most effective way. Levern Property Services has an separate governing Board from Barrhead Housing Association – the Board is elected annually and has an independent Chairperson.

Levern Property Services delivers a range of services including a comprehensive factoring service within the local area, it will also include the provision of care and support to our sheltered housing complex, the provision of extended property services to owner occupiers and commercial businesses, employment and training opportunities. It has the potential to consider private letting and to expand services by creating social enterprise activities. LPS is also an employer and services provided include Housing Support for Barrhead HA’s sheltered housing development and a Repairs Operative providing a property repairs service to Barrhead HA’s tenants.
