LPS Staff Team

 

Shirley Robison, Chief Executive e:shirleyr@barrheadha.org – employed since Sept 2005 as Barrhead Housing Association’s senior officer, and the senior officer of LPS since its establishment. Shirley is a member of the Chartered Institute of Housing and has a BA Business Studies. Employment history has included: Support Inspector with Scottish Housing Regulator for just under 2 years; Housing Manager and Corporate Services Director with Glen Oaks Housing Association for 10 years; Senior Housing Officer within Glasgow and Easterhouse for 3 years; and housing officer with Port of Leith Housing Association for 7 years starting in 1983. Since working at Barrhead HA, the organisation has grown in strength, performing well, and becoming financially strong. The senior staff continue to lead the organisation and with a commitment to continuous improvement. Shirley has assisted the Scottish Housing Regulator in the past, being a statutory appointee at Cordale HA and Wishaw and District HA.

 

James Ward, Director of Asset Management e:jamesw@barrheadha.org – employed since November 2015, he has an MSc in Social Enterprise and is a member of the Institute of Leadership and Management. Employment history has included Operations Manager with a national charity; and has worked in the private sector for 15 years as Director of Residential management; Estate Manager; Property Developer and Property Manager for a private lettings company.

 

The LPS team is responsible overall for BHA’s planned and cyclical maintenance activity and for all Levern Property Services’ activities. The team is headed up by James Ward (see above). Other members of the team are:

PROPERTY FACTORING – Property Factors Registration Number: PF000096

As of the 1st of April 2012 and following the introduction of the Property Factors Act 2011, factoring service duties have been passed on to our subsidiary, Levern Property Services Limited (LPS). LPS use the same staff and work out of the same offices and will maintain the factoring of over 250 flats and houses in the Barrhead, Neilston and Thornliebank areas.

LPS will continue to provide a wide range of factoring services for these owners; which include:
• Instructing repair and maintenance to common parts
• Arranging common utility services
• Arranging block insurance
• Provision and maintenance of information signs and notices
• Invoicing of common charges
• Liaison with owners and interested parties
• Administration of any change of ownership
• Providing information and advice
• Facilitating close meetings
• Periodic property inspections
• Maintaining an approved contractors list
• Receiving and paying tradesman accounts
• Debt recovery and redistribution

JOIN OUR OWNERS FORUM – we hold at least two meetings per year and all owners are invited to the meetings. These are used to develop our services, consider our charges and review our planned works for the future.

Commercial Factoring – we also now offer factoring services for commerical properties including the Auchenback Resource Centre and also local solicitor, Turnbull and Ward. Such services can be completely tailored to individual needs and including all property repairs, planned and cyclical repairs for internal and external services. Private Letting Initiative – we are now working on this service for local landlords offering an all round housing and maintenance service for the private sector. More information will be available during 2014/15.
